The DENIM clinical trial focuses on improving Non-Invasive Ventilation (NIV) support for people living with Motor Neuron Disease (MND). We believe that if people with MND receive extra monitoring and support from their clinical team during the first few months of using NIV, it will help people use NIV more effectively, which will help people live longer and feel better.   

DENIM is an NIHR-funded type 3 hybrid implementation-effectiveness, stepped-wedge cluster randomised controlled trial led by Dr Esther Hobson at the University of Sheffield. 

Our trial involves 12 NHS Trusts across the UK and is sponsored by Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
